JCO among 2 Army men killed in gunfight with terrorists in Jammu region

The Udhampur district police confirmed that an Inspector of CRPF was killed in the encounter at Chill in Dudu.
Indian Army said that contact was established with infiltrating terrorists and operation is in the process.
Police said that the bodies of the killed terrorists have been retrieved from the site of the encounter.
Among the three neutralised local terrorists, 2 have been identified as Lateef Lone of Shopian, who was involved in killing of a Kashmiri Pandit Purana Krishna Bhat and Umer Nazir of Anantnag.
The Lashkar-e-Taiba (L-e-T) carried out the attack in Sopore on Wednesday, according to Vijay Kumar, the Kashmir Inspector General of Police.
This is the second attack on the CRPF in Sopore in the last three months. On April 18, terrorists fired at a CRPF party, killing three CRPF personnel.
This year, so far there have been several successful anti terror operations by the security forces that has led to the killing of many terrorists and their commanders.
On Saturday, Jammu and Kashmir police had said that 29 foreign terrorists are active in South Kashmir but assured that the security forces are experienced enough to deal with them and wipe out militancy from whole of South Kashmir.
Army and CRPF were also involved in the operation against the terrorists.
