JCO among 2 Army men killed in gunfight with terrorists in Jammu region

The Udhampur district police confirmed that an Inspector of CRPF was killed in the encounter at Chill in Dudu.
Indian Army said that contact was established with infiltrating terrorists and operation is in the process.
Police said that the bodies of the killed terrorists have been retrieved from the site of the encounter.
Among the three neutralised local terrorists, 2 have been identified as Lateef Lone of Shopian, who was involved in killing of a Kashmiri Pandit Purana Krishna Bhat and Umer Nazir of Anantnag.
Anayat Ashraf Dar, a recently active terrorist who was earlier an Over Ground Worker (OGW) of militants, fired at a civilian Jeewer Hameed Bhat, who got seriously injured and was hospitalized.
The gunfight between the terrorists and security forces started on Thursday morning.
The encounter took place just a day after four terrorists were gunned down in South Kashmir's Shopian district while a fifth militant surrendered.
Meanwhile, three terrorists were killed in an encounter at Amshipora area of Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district early today morning.
The remarks by GoC 19 Infantry Division Kashmir Major General Virendra Vats came after two terrorists were killed after a major infiltration bid was foiled by the Army in North Kashmir's Naugam sector today morning.
