Meanwhile, Congress Rajya Sabha member Digvijaya Singh took a dig at the BJP, saying that the saffron party has been wiped out from Southern India.
The Congress was headed towards winning 136 seats on its own, while the BJP was reaching a tally of 65 seats, as the Election Commission was close to giving a final picture of the results on Saturday.
"People of Karnataka have given a befitting reply to BJP leaders for lodging a false case and reviving it in Gujarat's court against RaGa over his speech in Wayanad over alleged “Modi surname,” said the Rajasthan chief minister.
The early trends for Karnataka assembly election results showed Congress crossing the halfway mark, and Siddaramaiah leading from the Varuna constituency.
The exit polls which were out after voting ended on May 10 predicted a hung assembly with some showing Congress returning to power with a majority. Most of the exit polls had predicted that the BJP will fall short of the halfway mark, 113.
Congress is expected to have a clear edge in Karnataka in the assembly elections conducted on May 10 with four exit polls giving it a full majority and some predicting a hung assembly with an advantage to the party.
"No one has contacted me till now. Let us see the final results first. According to the exit polls, there is no need for options. Let us see," the JD(S) leader added.
"More than 75-80 per cent will support BJP. We will win 130-135 seats," the former chief minister said after casting his vote.
The voting is being held for 224 assembly constituencies in Karnataka with 2,615 candidates in the fray.
