Five people were arrested on Thursday on the charges of planning to attack the residence of chief minister Mamata Banerjee in Kalighat here.
District magistrates, chief health officers and officials of various corporations, including KMC and Bidhannagar Municipality were present at the meeting.
At Kalighat, the liquor store near the fire brigade station was one such example where the queue stretched beyond the visual range.
The police said, “30 persons were arrested for disorderly conduct and handed over to respective police stations on the point of jurisdiction for prosecution.”
The decision to appoint four dedicated workers in each constituencies by MLAs was taken as it was felt that there was a communication gap between the chief minister and her grass-root level workers.
