In a week's time after joining the BJP, former Delhi Minister Kailash Gahlot on Saturday was entrusted with an important role in view of the upcoming assembly polls, being appointed as the Member of Delhi Assembly Election Coordination Committee of the saffron party here.
Gahlot said that he didn't take the decision under any pressure, nor was it taken overnight.
In a major setback to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in the national capital, senior party leader and minister Kailash Gahlot resigned from the cabinet as well as the party on Sunday.

He pointed out that once an application is cleared, an electric vehicle charge would be installed within seven days.
Speaking at the flagging off ceremony, Gahlot said, "Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, since March 2020, the Delhi government has launched 452 BS-VI compliant buses, including 32 that are being dedicated to the people of Delhi today. Equipped with world-class latest technology, special care has been taken for the comfort, convenience and safety of the passengers in all these buses."
