The Reds, who were just denied the title last season, suffered in the early going this year as draws against Fulham and Crystal Palace were exacerbated by Monday's humiliating loss at rivals Manchester United, according to DPA.
The forward, who was named the FWA Footballer of the Year and the PFA Players' Player of the Year for 2021-22 after helping Juergen Klopp's side to a domestic cup double, has now committed his future to the Reds.

Final memorial service for the victims was due to take place at Anfield on Wednesday, but has been postponed due to coronavirus guidelines on mass gathering.
