Several students in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Friday boycotted their regular classes in order to demand for campus democracy and the right to live with dignity in the varsity.

Sharad Baviskar, assistant professor at JNU logded an FIR in Naraina police station. In his complaint, Baviskar said he was driving towards campus on Friday night when he got into an argument with some people on the road over driving.
"Today morning it has come to notice that few flags and banners have been put on the road and adjoining areas near JNU. In view of recent incidents, these were promptly removed and suitable legal action is being taken," Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Manoj C said.
