Immediately after taking over the DGP, Swain chaired a meeting at PHQ which was attended by senior officers and other wings.
The DGP sought reports from jurisdictional officers about the prevailing security scenario in the district.

The DGP said that during last year around 85 terror modules involved in grenade throwing, civilian killings and other different terror activities were busted.
The DGP visited Kulgam, Handwara and Kupwara where he reviewed the security situation with senior police, CRPF and Army officers.
Parents of the killed terrorists protested outside the police control room and claimed their wards were innocent.
