The Samajwadi Party (SP), which has decided to go it alone in the Jharkhand assembly elections after being denied a share in the INDIA alliance in the tribal-dominated state, fielded 21 candidates in the elections polling for which is scheduled to be held on November 13 and 20.
Voting for 81 seats of the Jharkhand Assembly will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20. The counting will be counted on November 23.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held its Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting on Tuesday evening to discuss the selection of the party's candidates for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections.
In the second phase, 48,25,038 voters were covered including 10,492 service voters and 62,565 PwD voters. 260 candidates including 29 female are contesting on 20 seats in this phase.
Jharkhand Agriculture Minister Randhir Singh's age increased by 13 years in the last five years as in 2014 he was 32 but in 2019, he declared his age is 45 years.
The data was released by the Jharkhand Election Watch and ADR by analysing the self-sworn affidavits of all 260 candidates who are contesting the second phase of the Jharkhand Assembly elections.
As per the Election Commission of India (ECI), out of 37,78,963 voters, 19,79,991 were men while 17,98,966 were women while five belonged to the third gender.
The Prime Minister also accused the Congress of staying the removal of Article 370.
