Tokyo Olympics 2020 spokesman Masa Takaya had said earlier this week that their priority is to secure the venues after announcing new dates of the Games.
The medals of both Olympics had been made from metals of recycled electronics that have been collected all over Japan since April 2017.
The 2020 Tokyo Olympics was postponed to July-August of 2021 due to the ongoing global crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Originally supposed to be held from July 24 to August 9, 2020 the Olympics had to be postponed to July 23 to August 8, 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
John Coates, chairman of the Tokyo 2020 Coordination Committee, said that the IOC is working with the International Federations and relevant agencies.
