Omar travels by road from Srinagar to attend civil secretariat in Jammu

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday received a rousing reception at the civil secretariat in Jammu upon his arrival to assume office in the winter capital. This marked his first official visit to the Jammu Secretariat since taking office as the CM of Jammu and Kashmir on 16 October in Srinagar.

The delimitation process in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), intended to restructure electoral boundaries and enhance political representation, appears to have fallen short of delivering the desired outcomes for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

During interrogation, one of the arrested terrorists Ijahgar Khan belonging to UP told the police that a JeM commander Munazir alias Shahid had told them to collect weapons from near Amritsar and also do reconnaissance of the vital Panipat Refinery which he did and sent the videos to Pakistan.
