Anderson, who is set to feature in his 188th and final Test against West Indies at Lord’s this week will bow out as the most-prolific fast bowler in Test history, having taken his 700th wicket, on the tour of India in March this year.
The 40-year-old pacer achieved the landmark during the second Test between England and South Africa in Manchester.
The two ageing warhorses were strangely left out of England's three-Test tour of the Caribbean earlier this year, with selectors instead opting to give more opportunities to the next generation of seam bowlers.
