East Burdwan constituency comprises Kalna, Katwa sub-divisions, also accommodates blocks like Raina, Jamalpur and Purbasthali inhabited by a considerable chunk of voters from the Matua community.
SDPO Chakraborty and BDO Dutta said, “We salute the courage of the little village girl, which brought us here to her village today.”
The waters have inundated and damaged homes, roads, educational institutions, and crop fields in 15 districts, bdnews24 reported citing disaster management officials as saying.
