Jaipur Pink Panthers captain Arjun Deshwal put in a superb performance, leading by example as he scored 19 points in the match, helping his team thrash Telugu Titans by a scoreline of 52-22 in a Season 11 clash in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) at the GMCB Indoor Stadium
The Jaipur Pink Panthers pulled off a thrilling 25-24 victory over the Tamil Thalaivas at the SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, here on Saturday.
The Titans and Siddharth Desai were in no mood to let the Pink Panthers come back into the game though and the raider ensured his team secured their first All-Out of the match in the third minute of the second half.
With the victory, Mumbai jumped to the fourth place in the points table to consolidate their chances of making to the play-offs.
Tamil Thalaivas started their game with utter composure, aggression at the right instances and ruled the first half. Rahul Chaudhari rolled back the years with his fine raiding, reminiscent of his days at the lead raider for the Telugu Titans.
U Mumba will take positives from the match despite the defeat with Arjun Deshwal impressing with a career-best tally of 14 raid points (15 in total).
Pawan Sehrawat, with another Super 10 (17 raid points), was once again the star for the defending champions in a match that saw Patna lead for a long time.
Following the win, Mumbai climbed to the fifth spot in the points table while the Pink Panthers remained third.
Pardeep Narwal was the lone ranger when it came to Patna's raiding points as with just five minutes to go they still trailed by 10 points.
The second half saw Sandeep continue his good work to keep Naveen on the bench as he got a great thigh hold on him in the 21st minute. Vinay then capitalised on the mistakes made by Jaipur by getting Sandeep and Sunil Siddhgavali to reduce the margin to 11-20.
