Former BJP Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Wednesday came down heavily on the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, alleging that its two-year tenure has been the worst in the state's history.

“An adequate number of people and machinery should be deployed in the vulnerable areas that are prone to landslides and other types of disasters,” he said.
Thakur said that Rs 5 lakh would be provided to the next of kin of the deceased, whereas Rs. 15,000 would be provided as immediate relief to each injured person.
The police recruitment test that was earlier, held in 27 March that is being held again after paper leak in which the investigation by Himachal Pradesh police is still in process.
