A woman among three people were killed while four others injured after a portion of a two-storey building collapsed in North-West Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area on Friday.
Earlier in the day, Delhi Police had denied permission to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and another group to undertake processions in the Jahangirpuri area
The friend of the deceased victim in the Jahangirpuri terror case has identified the two suspects and stated that he knew the victim Rajkumar since the last 7-8 months and had seen the alleged terrorists Naushad and Jagjit meeting him, while speaking to ANI.
Sources said that Naushad also went to Nepal twice in 2019 to find a way to go from Nepal to Pakistan.
The accused took up residence at the rented house last year, during Diwali, adding that the construction of their own house is ongoing, according to the neighbours.
Severe communal clashes erupted at the Jahangirpuri area on April 16 during a Hanuman Jayanti procession in which nine people, including eight policemen were injured.
The sources in the intelligence network have said that the agencies have been scanning the presence of a few people connected to the PFI's student wing in Jahangirpuri and trying to ascertain with whom they met while they were in the area.
Amid heavy deployment of police personnel, members from both the Hindu and Muslim communities took out 'Tiranga Yatra' on Sunday evening at the communal violence-hit Jahangirpuri area of the national capital.
The area is still under heavy security cover, however, the permission to take out the proposed Yatra at 6 p.m. has been granted by the Delhi Police.
The sources also disclosed that during interrogation Ansar confessed his involvement in drug peddling.
