Speaking at a function organised on the occasion of the 138th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Raja Mahendra Pratap at Bharat Mandapam here, Dhankhar described him as a born diplomat, a statesman, a visionary, and a nationalist.
Addressing the students at the 22nd Convocation Ceremony of Rajiv Gandhi University at Rono Hills, Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh, he said, "Corruption was a big drain on young minds. Favouritism, corruption, nepotism—these were killing your talent."
Expressing anguish over the disruptions in the House of Elders, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar Friday said Rule 267 is being weaponised as a mechanism of disruption.

"Every Indian outside the country has to be an ambassador of this nation. How painful. One who holds a constitutional position is doing just the reverse of it," he said.
