Speaking at a function organised on the occasion of the 138th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Raja Mahendra Pratap at Bharat Mandapam here, Dhankhar described him as a born diplomat, a statesman, a visionary, and a nationalist.
Addressing the students at the 22nd Convocation Ceremony of Rajiv Gandhi University at Rono Hills, Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh, he said, "Corruption was a big drain on young minds. Favouritism, corruption, nepotism—these were killing your talent."

"Every Indian outside the country has to be an ambassador of this nation. How painful. One who holds a constitutional position is doing just the reverse of it," he said.
