Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has summoned a one-day special session of the assembly on April 28 to discuss the Pahalgam attack, officials said on Friday.
The all-party meeting in Srinagar on Thursday unanimously supported the steps taken against Pakistan by the central government in retaliation against the Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 26 persons were killed.
Denying that the Pahalgam terror attack was an intelligence failure, former Indian Army Generals have categorically called Wednesday’s massacre a Pakistan Army-sponsored strike—an attack not only on tourists but also on local Kashmiris, who will bear the maximum brunt.
The CM’s remarks came as the search operation against the holed up terrorists in Saniyal village of Hiranagar in Kathua district continued on the second day on Monday, but there was no exchange of fire between the security forces and terrorists in the night that has given an impression that the terrorists might have escaped.
Jammu and Kashmir Congress chief Tariq Hameed Karra lashed out at the central government and the LG administration for being "clueless" even as the law and order situation in the upper reaches of Kathua district is worsening.
The two Bills were passed by the Lok Sabha on 6th December. The Home Minister said the Army is not deployed anywhere in civilian areas.
"Why don’t they allocate more funds to provide electricity to the people of Jammu and Kashmir?" he said.

A BSF soldier was killed in firing by Pakistan Rangers at Ramgarh along the international border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
The incident was reported from Tumchi Nowpora area of the south Kashmir district, police said.
