The abduction and gruesome killing of the policeman happened on the day Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, accompanied by National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba, was camping in Srinagar to review the security scenario in the state placed under Governor’s Rule on 20 June.
