The airport has been developed in an area of over 690 acres with a runway of 2,300 m, at a cost of more than Rs 640 crore.
The airline will commence flights between Mumbai-Kolkata-Itanagar from November 28 from Itanagar's newly-opened Donyi Polo Airport.
The centre granted ‘In-principle’ approval for development of Hollongi Greenfield Airport in January, 2019.
