Israel vows Iran “will pay a price” for drone attack on PM Netanyahu’s home

The stern warning from Israel followed Hezbollah’s launch of three drones targeting Netanyahu's private residence on Saturday morning.

The report, citing unnamed Israeli officials, also claimed that targeted assassinations of senior Iranian leaders is also under consideration.

Dr Jaishankar stated that New Delhi is concerned about the overall situation in West Asia and not just the Israel-Lebanon war.

The move comes after Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed "Harsh punishment" against Israel for Haniyeh’s killing.

The Israeli war cabinet has suspended the discussion but it is likely to be reconvened soon to decide on future course of action.
