A fox attack created a stir at the Islampur Rural Hospital in Murshidabad. Ten people were injured after a wild animal attack.
The President of the Islampur block TMC committee, Jakir Hossain, said that some criminals had been threatening Ekramul Hoque over the telephone for the past few days.
"He was recently tested positive for the novel coronavirus and was admitted in the Raiganj Covid hospital," a health department source said.
Villages like Daribhit, Bijbari, Satvita, Konivita, Sardarvita and Milandi were partly inundated, while a bamboo ‘mancha’ (bridge) over the Dolancha river between Daribhit market and Bijbari was also washed away by the swollen river.
