IOC confirms Singapore as host of first Olympic Esports Week in June 2023
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Wednesday confirmed that its inaugural Olympic Esports Week will be held in Singapore from June 22 to 25, 2023.

As per the decision, the country will not receive any monetary assistance, accrued towards it from the past that was held back because of international sanctions
Athletics head coach Yuri Moisevich and team official Artur Shumak were asked to leave the Olympic village after asking Krystsina to pack her bags and take the flight back home.
Bach’s visit on Tuesday coincided with the official opening of the Olympic Village on Tokyo Bay.
However, the number of athletes at the opening event will not be cut, IOC's Tokyo Olympic Games Coordination Commission chairman John Coates has said.
The medals of both Olympics had been made from metals of recycled electronics that have been collected all over Japan since April 2017.
The 2020 Tokyo Olympics was postponed to July-August of 2021 due to the ongoing global crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Originally supposed to be held from July 24 to August 9, 2020 the Olympics had to be postponed to July 23 to August 8, 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Union Sports Minister of India, Kiren Rijiju, shared a letter written by the IOC President Thomas Bach thanking PM Modi on Twitter.
John Coates, chairman of the Tokyo 2020 Coordination Committee, said that the IOC is working with the International Federations and relevant agencies.
