According to industry insiders, if the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) is increased it will help manufacturers including auto-component makers, who have a strong presence in the market, to move to electric vehicles.
While inaugurating a conference on “PM-Gati Shakti” for the South Zone, organised by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Gadkari said cooperation and communication need to be enhanced between the centres and the states.
“This a very positive sentiment and encouraging for the mining sector as it would bring more efficiency and technological advancement in the mining industry,” said a senior officer of the Coal Ministry.
