BSF jawan abducted by Bangladeshi miscreants

When the Border Security Force (BSF) implemented a strict "zero firing" policy during patrolling along the Indo-Bangladesh border, a troubling incident occurred yesterday, where a group of Bangladeshi miscreants allegedly abducted an Indian jawan.

Accused constable married twice, had problems, says BSF

While the police had said that preliminary investigations pointed out to the constable having some grievances with his seniors,a top BSF official today said that Mr Sutradhar opened fire out of frustration after having failed to talk to his second wife over the mobile phone during duty on the Indo-Bangladesh border.

RR Sharma, the DIG, BSF, North Bengal Frontier Headquarters at Kadamtala in Siliguri, said Mr Sutradhar was performing his first shift duty on the Indo-Bangladesh border, when he fired two rounds in the air from his service rifle.
