The Indian senior women's team touched down in Myanmar on Sunday night ahead of the first of their two friendlies against the hosts on Tuesday at the Thuwunna Stadium.
The FIH Hockey Pro League (Women) is scheduled to take place at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar from 3rd to 9th February.
The Indian women's team went down 1-4 against the USA U-23 in their last encounter of the WU23 3-Nations tournament played at the Larods IP.
Mithali Raj and Punam Raut put together an 119 run stand for the third wicket which laid the foundation for an easy run chase. While Mithali top-scored for the Indian team with 66, Raut contributed with 65 invaluable runs.
