The meeting was co-chaired by Rajesh Agrawal, Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, India and Mastura Ahmad Mustafa, Deputy Secretary General (Trade), Ministry of Investment, Trade & Industry, Malaysia.
The major demand is for oilseeds, cereals and millets, sugar, fruit juice concentrates, tea, spices, pulses, dry fruits, medicinal plant products, according to the authority.
The country exported 14,03,382 tonne of oilmeal during April-September 2018 as against 12,84,788 tonnes in the same period last year, the data compiled by Mumbai-based Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) showed.
