Private enterprises and startups hold the key to propelling India’s space sector to claim a larger slice of the global market, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman S Somanath recently stated at a session titled “ISRO’s vision and the rise of India’s space Tech companies” held in Trivandrum, Kerala.

Chandrayaan-3 is the ISRO's follow-up attempt after the Chandrayaan-2 mission faced challenges during its soft landing on the lunar surface in 2019 and was eventually deemed to have failed its core mission objectives.
"Today, at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, the encapsulated assembly containing Chandrayaan-3 is mated with LVM3," tweeted ISRO.
Indian space agency conducted the Rail Track Rocket Sled deployment tests of the Gaganyaan Pilot and ACS parachutes in cluster configurations.
All the propulsion parameters during the test are found satisfactory and closely matching with the predictions.
With regard to investment, it will be 100 per cent for Indian companies. FDI will be regulated and government permission is required if it's over 70 per cent, he stated.
This is the second successful rocket and satellite launch mission from Sriharikota (Andhra Pradesh) in 2022.
Somnath has played a major role in the development of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mk-III (GSLV Mk-III).
Kumar also said ISRO is working on upgrading Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle-Mk III (GSLV-Mk III) which can carry up to four tons to Geo Transfer Orbit (GTO)
