The daily rise in new coronavirus infections has been below 30,000 for 30 straight days and less than 50,000 daily new cases have been reported for 119 consecutive days now.
The new fatalities have increased the overall death toll to 4,53,708. The number of daily deaths increased after Kerala revised data to add 292 fatalities from previous periods.
At present, India's caseload of active cases stands at 1,75,745 that is the lowest in 232 days.

With this, the active cases in the country stand at 2,40,221, which is the lowest in 205 days.
With the beginning of the nine-day long festival of Navratri from today, India saw a total of 24,602 patients recovering in the last 24 hours. The active caseload is the lowest in 204 days.

The new cases reported were slightly lesser than what was recorded on Saturday. However, 290 deaths were reported on Saturday. The total death count in the country stands at 4,46,918.
Amid a decline in Covid cases in the country, India may soon reopen its doors for foreign tourists for the first time in one-and-a-half years, officials said.
