The India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA) on Thursday signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with consumer electronics brand boAt as an industry partner for the Centre of Excellence (CoE) based on Li-ion products (post cell) at CDAC, Noida.
Further, the duty on inputs of mechanics has been increased, which makes it impossible for the local manufacturing of mechanics to compete.
Building blocks of the electronic ecosystem i.e. Cells (PLI for advanced chemistry cell or ACC has already been launched), display and the semiconductor ecosystem are critical for long-term sustenance," he said in a statement.
