The Indian hockey team went down 2-0 to reigning world champions and Olympic silver medallists Germany in the first match of the bilateral series at the iconic Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here on Wednesday.
The ban was on the back of Rohidas receiving a red card in the Indian team’s quarterfinal match against Britain on Sunday.
However, India need to play out of their skin once again to get past the doughty and physically intimidating Germany in order to fight for the men’s hockey gold for the first time since the boycott-hit 1980 Moscow Games
