Coal production increased by 29% during April

In April 2022, the Coal India Ltd. (CIL), Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. (SCCL) and Captive mines/Others registered a growth of 27.64 per cent, 9.59 per cent and 59.98 per cent by producing 53.47 MT, 5.32 MT and 7.79 MT of coal respectively.

Ethanol production grew in 2020-21

Production capacity of ethanol in the country has also increased to 825 crore litres as on September 2021, which is sufficient to meet the target of 10 per cent ethanol blending in ESY 2021-22. "This production capacity has further increased to 849 crore litres till March 31 this year," officials said.
