The arrested accused has been identified as Satnam Singh alias Honey of Patti in Tarn Taran.
Reports said that around 6 pm, terrorists triggered an IED planted on the roadside in Aarihal when a vehicle of 44 RR was passing from there, causing injuries to at least nine soldiers.
"Three officers and a soldier embraced Shahadat (martyrdom) while four soldiers were injured," the statement from the army's media wing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The IED was reportedly planted on the patrolling track on the Indian side of the LoC.
The attack came a day after six soldiers were killed in the east of the country in similar circumstances.
