India is a key partner in the TMT project, with the India TMT Center at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) in Bengaluru leading the national collaboration.
The team of researchers are led by Prof Aruna Goswami and her doctoral students Meenakshi P and Shejeelammal J at IIA. The work has been published in ‘The Astrophysical Journal’ recently, a Ministry of Science and Technology note here in Friday said.
The agencies will also ensure short-term training or apprenticeship to skill migrant workers.
