The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said on Tuesday that Palestinian people in the northern Gaza Strip are gripped by "unimaginable fear, confusion, and exhaustion" as Israel's widening military operation grinds on.
In a joint statement issued with Doctors Without Borders (MSF), ICRC said that of the 25 countries most vulnerable to climate change, the majority are also experiencing armed conflict and a lack of access to basic healthcare.
"War shatters bodies and souls. Four decades of war shatters nations," he said in a statement released on Wednesday after a four-day trip to Afghanistan.
"Both parties consented to follow the old agreement, on top of new promises in humanitarian aid leading to the Islamic Emirate granting ICRC permission to resume their activities," the Taliban said.
World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is an annual celebration of the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. World Red Cross Red Crescent Day is celebrated on 8 May each year.
