Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed all district collectors to design an action plan similar to the Hyderabad Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) to remove encroachments in lakes, tanks, nalas, and other waterbodies to prevent flooding.
Even as the political slugfest continues over the action of Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Authority(HYDRAA), the Telangana revenue department has served a notice to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s brother A Tirupati Reddy over his property which comes under Full Tank Level (FTL) of Durgam Cheruvu lake, near Hyderabad’s IT Hub.
However, the actor termed the demolition “unlawful” as there was a stay order issued by the court and said they will seek legal intervention in the matter. The actor later obtained a stay from the High Court on the demolition.
The Telangana High Court on Wednesday rejected a petition seeking a stay on demolition of a farmhouse abutting Osman Sagar Lake that was linked to BRS leader KT Rama Rao.
