Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, popularly faces a challenge from Eatala Rajender, whose resignation after being dropped from the state Cabinet caused the bypoll. He has entered the fray as a BJP candidate now.
With Union Home Minister Amit Shah set to address a public meeting on September 17 in Nirmal district, this time to apparently draw political mileage in the ensuing bypoll to the Huzurabad Assembly constituency.
As part of the programme, Sharmila said she will forgo food from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the village located in Sattupalli constituency.
