A bench headed by Chief Justice N V Ramana made it clear that the court will allow the immersion of idols for the last time this year, and no more immersion from next year.
Court also said that the devotees should be encouraged to reduce the height of the idols, use eco friendly material as well as immerse them in a bucket of water at their own homes
