Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said here on Thursday that the Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (HPMC) will set up a winery at Parala, located in Theog of Shimla district.

Attacking Sukhu government’s handling of state finances and public services, he said that the administration’s policies are harming rather than helping the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Under the new provisions, suitable private lands available for mining in the state can be auctioned for extraction of minerals with the landowners' consent. Landowners will receive 80 per cent of the annual bid amount.
He said that a 32 MW Solar Power Project has been established at Pekhubela in Una district and 10 MW solar power project and 5 MW project were under construction in Kutlehar and Gagret assembly constituencies respectively.
“Work cannot be done with mere assurances for such a long time. Instead of making empty rhetoric, the government should release the results now," he added.
