Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday inaugurated four laning of the Kamakhyanagar-Duburi section of NH-53 here in the presence of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
In his address, Amit Shah said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government was committed to protecting the rights of every poor and middle class person of the country.
Shah held the review meeting with senior officials of the NDMA, NDRF and IMD.
He further praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in handling the COVID-19 crisis.
'I also request the affluent people to come forward and help the poor living near them,' he said.
The meeting took place inside PM's Parliament House office during which the two leaders also discussed the Rajya Sabha elections in Gujarat apart from the Madhya Pradesh political crisis.
The new party was formed on March 8 with many local politicians from parties like National Conference and People's Democratic Party flocking to it.
