Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has issued a directive advising ministers to avoid political commentary and refrain from participating in political interviews.
The invitation was extended during a special business event hosted by the Assam Government in Thimphu, coinciding with Bhutan’s 117th National Day celebrations on December 17.
In a step towards enhancing connectivity, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said his government has constructed over 31,800 km of roads and completed 1,400 bridges under various initiatives.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched an ambitious initiative to bolster its grassroots presence in Assam by constructing permanent office buildings across all mandals in the state.
He chaired a meeting with officials and other stakeholders of the park as the state had begun to receive heavy downpours due to torrential rains.
This initiative specifically targets the enhancement of infrastructure within the state's tea gardens.
In his post, Sarma said 489 startups have received comprehensive support from the Assam government during this period.
Sarma’s assertion comes amidst emerging rifts within the state BJP, particularly highlighted by the recent Lok Sabha election results in Upper Assam.
Speaking to the media, he highlighted that Congress candidate Rakibul Hussain's victory by a margin of 10 lakh votes in Dhubri constituency raises concerns about demographic changes in Assam.
