BJP has demanded revoking the decision and also dropping the plan to increase bus fares.
The Chief Minister noted that Himachal Pradesh has adopted a strict policy in this regard and stressed the adoption of a similar policy in J&K.

“An adequate number of people and machinery should be deployed in the vulnerable areas that are prone to landslides and other types of disasters,” he said.
Flash floods occurred at Thungi Khad, Tehsil Moorang in Kinnaur district, however no loss of life nor property was reported.
Thakur said that Rs 5 lakh would be provided to the next of kin of the deceased, whereas Rs. 15,000 would be provided as immediate relief to each injured person.
“Apart from this, the import of apples from abroad should be stopped and the apples should be procured from the growers through MIS and at rates at par with Kashmir,” he said.
