Senior BJP leader and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Jairam Thakur has mocked the Congress promise of providing 300 units of free electricity ahead of the upcoming state polls.
While interacting with media on the occasion, the Chief Minister said as per his budget announcement last year, 205 new buses were to be purchased by the HRTC.
Besides, 20 lakh persons were covered under Ayushman Bharat Yojna whereas the remaining population was covered under Mukhya Mantri Himcare Yojana, he added.
The Chief Minister emphasized on the need to develop an effective mechanism for timely implementation of budget announcements.

He was addressing a virtual meeting with all Chief Ministers and Finance Ministers of the states with Sitharaman to discuss ways to create a reform-focused business climate and further facilitate investments to help boost growth.
He listed the development works that were started by the state government during Covid period and stated that Congress leaders accuse the BJP government of not carrying out developmental activities in the state.
He further stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government and the state government had worked for welfare of the general public and had launched various social welfare schemes for them.
“Congress party’s situation is similar to Punjab throughout the country as the party neither has any issue nor any policy,” he added.
