The Chief Minister said that the Centre as well as the state government is concerned about the career of these students and would strive to find out a way to ensure that the careers of the students do not get affected.
Thakur informed the house during Question Hour on a query by Congress members Harshvardhan Chauhan and Vinay Kumar.
The official said Thakur was under observation of senior doctors of the Institute and would be discharged within a day or two.
A state government official said Thakur has been admitted in AIIMS, New Delhi for a routine check-up on the advice of doctors.
After virtually inaugurating water sports activities at Tattapani from Shimla, Thakur said the state government was committed to develop lesser known tourist places under the ‘Nai Raahein Nai Manzilein’ programme.

Addressing a public meeting at sericulture farming workshop and dialogue programme in Balichoki of Mandi district, Thakur said the construction work was underway at a cost of Rs 494 lakhs to benefit the weavers of Resham (sericulture) weaving under Balichoki centre.
While addressing the meeting virtually from Shimla, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that being a hilly state, greater funds and resources were required to create infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh as compared to other states.
Thakur said that the state government has planned to hold a massive programme to highlight the 50 years statehood journey of HP. He said that this Yatra would be called “Swaranim Rath Yatra” and would be held throughout the state for 51 days.
