The Sukhu government, soon after assuming charge, had decided to impose ‘Water Cess’ on power projects to generate Rs 1800 crore in the cash-strapped state.
While delivering the ruling, the court observed that pension is not a bounty, it is earned for rendering a long and satisfactory service.
The court said the transfer of Public Prosecutors and Assistant District Attorneys, henceforth, should be done in accordance with the Comprehensive Guidelines, 2013, for regulating the transfers of the employees, that too, only by the administrative authority.
The high court ordered to open the sealed envelope(s) having affidavits in the presence of the counsel for the parties on September 24.
