Herd immunity refers to the situation when the spread of a disease is stopped naturally when enough of the population becomes resistant to the virus and not enough people are able to transmit it.
"Lockdown may not be the ultimate solution to fight COVID 19. It may delay the infection but cannot protect us forever"
The only real and effective way for a population to combat a viral infection, is to develop “Herd Immunity”.
For the moment, it is also unclear whose antibodies are more potent in beating back the disease: someone who nearly died, or someone with only light symptoms or even no symptoms at all.
