After verifying the complaint, the Vigilance team laid a trap and caught both accused accepting the remaining money of Rs 1000.
During investigation, it came to the fore that both jail wardens had taken money on the instructions of the jail superintendent Anil Kumar to provide facilities to prisoners.
He has been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is underway, the spokesperson said.
Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has arrested a Patwari red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 71,000 in Fatehabad district.
Giving this information on Saturday, a spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that complainant Rajesh of village Hatho in Jind district had accused Nitin (patwari) of seeking bribe in lieu of disbursing compensation of agricultural land of his mother.
The complainant informed the vigilance which laid a trap and arrested the Inspector red-handed in the presence of the duty magistrate.
Acting on the complaint, a team of the Vigilance bureau laid a trap and arrested the officer red-handed in the presence of the duty magistrate
Assistant Sub Inspector Narender Singh, Incharge and Samay Singh, Special Police Officer, Police Post Alawalpur, Police Station, Chandhut, District Palwal were caught while accepting bribes of Rs 10,000.
