In addition, the government has committed to releasing all arrested farmers and dropping the police cases against them.
The former CM said data shows insurance companies have made a hefty profit of Rs 40,000 Crore in just five years when farmers are constantly facing losses. "To make matters worse, the government has also increased the insurance premium for many crops,” he said.
The minister said a huge market will be opened in Ganaur, Haryana. This project was stalled for the last 15 to 20 years for which tenders will be floated today.
The minister said a nodal officer should be appointed to monitor the fodder coming from other states.
Haryana farmers would get paid for the procurement of wheat, gram and barley of Rabi-2022 starting tomorrow within 72 hours of the crop procurement.
The plan includes a fusion of in-situ and ex-situ crop residue management techniques, apart from monitoring activities through a dedicated control room, and registration of FIRs against violators.
Haryana state police, as well as the Delhi Police, has intensified the security arrangements as several farmer bodies gave the protest call, stressing that they will block the highways as a part of "Road Roko (block the road)" protest.
Addressing a Press conference, senior INLD leader and leader of Opposition in Assembly, Abhay Singh Chautala asked the government to immediately order ‘girdawari’ to assess the damage caused to the paddy and other crops.
