Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Tuesday congratulated the people of Haryana for once again choosing the saffron party in the state for the third consecutive time, adding that it represents development.
Defying all exit polls, the BJP on Tuesday registered a hat-trick victory in the Haryana Assembly election, inflicting a big jolt to the Congress, which had overestimated its performance and prematurely thought it was time to celebrate.
The BJP is heading for a simple majority in the 90-member state assembly with the main Opposition Congress far behind.
Taking to his social media account on X, CM Yogi extended his congratulations to BJP workers, office bearers, and voters.
The BJP indicated that it might announce its support to Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) leader Gopal Kanda, who is an incumbent MLA from Sirsa, extended his support to the saffron party after the 2019 assembly elections.
