Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya, while addressing the assembly on the first day of the budget session on Friday, reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering commitment to 'Viksit Haryana-Viksit Bharat' and urged all members of the House to work collectively towards the state’s holistic development.
Presenting a budget of Rs 1,83,950 crore, the biggest in the state’s history, the chief minister said in this year’s budget, there is an increase of 11.6 per cent over Revised Estimates 2022-23 of Rs 1,64,808 Crore.
"We aim to present a budget that ensures holistic development in the state while ensuring everyone's participation,” said the chief minister.
The CM, who holds the finance portfolio, said before presenting the Budget this time, suggestions were taken and as many as eight pre-budget meetings were held with 550 people.
The social justice and empowerment minister OP Yadav said CM has presented a public-friendly budget. The interests of the entire society have been kept in mind in this budget.
The minister said the announcement of the Sushma Swaraj Award by the CM would inspire the women of the state to bring laurels to Haryana and the country.
